The stunning range of rooms, villas and suites all have custom-made A.H. Beard beds.

We’re visiting Port Stephens for the first time. What’s the first step?

When travelling to Port Stephens, you can’t miss the famous sand dunes! Whether you choose to drive through on quad bikes or a four wheel drive or try your skills at sandboarding, the Stockton Sand Dunes don’t disappoint. If you’re looking for more, book a sand dune tour that includes a dolphin cruise!

Where to head for coffee?

A non-negotiable is breakfast at Crest, Birubi Beach. Start your day on Australia’s largest moving sand dunes with an Allpress flat white and a steaming-hot shakshuka.

Another fantastic coffee spot in Port Stephens is Little Nel Cafe. With views all over the central area of Nelson Bay and coffee from Newcastle’s Suspension roastery, Little Nel Cafe is the perfect spot for an afternoon pick-me-up.

And a non-negotiable for some retail therapy?

The Port Stephens area offers gorgeous local arts and boutiques. Discover the skills of the region’s artisans at the Port Stephens Community Arts Centre. The Tomaree Markets are held every second and fourth Sunday of the month and are a great opportunity to check out local food products, designer items, live music and beautiful jewellery.

What’s an amazing lunch spot?

The Point Restaurant boasts breathtaking views of the stunning Soldiers Point waterways and sunsets. Nothing beats cocktails and fresh seafood. The Little Beach Boathouse is the ideal place for lunch if you’re a fan of delicious food with bay views… who isn’t?! May we recommend the squid ink spaghetti with local shellfish? Another great haunt is Final Bay Cellar Cafe, Waltz in off the beach and treat yourself to a seafood share plate.

This is by far the best mattress I have ever slept on. It was recommended to me by my sister as sleeping on this bed really helped with her back pain. And I can say that it has helped me immensely with my back issues. It is very comfortable and supportive.

Highly recommend this mattress

The last bed we had for 12 years – a queen size A.H. Beard was great so we upgraded to a king size and are very happy with the Grand Harmony plush – great that they are made in Australia.
