We’re visiting Queenstown for the first time. What’s the first step?
If you’ve got a day, why not combine a round of golf at one of Queenstown’s stunning clubs followed by a tour of one of their world renowned cellar doors? The wineries in this area have a reputation for producing some of the world’s best Pinot Noir!
Where to head for coffee?
- Bespoke Kitchen: this little beauty overlooks the Remarkables and has a carefully crafted menu featuring local health foods as well as a killer espresso
- The Boat Shed Cafe: Set in the restored NZ Railways Shipping Office, this cafe is a known for their brioche French toast and quality coffees.
- Vudu Cafe & Larder: Haven’t got sick of admiring Lake Wakatipu yet (who could)? Vudu Larder is the best spot for a coffee with a view!

Arrowtown, a boutique village 20 minutes from Queenstown, boasts fine wool stores, local arts and high fashion.

The adventure capital of NZ thrives on adrenaline, so you’ll be spoilt for choice! There are countless nearby hikes, such as the Milford Track, as well as four ski areas. Feeling courageous? Test yourself by bungee jumping over the Kawarau River.
