Rotating Your Mattress
What does “rotating” mean?
Rotating your mattress means turning it 180 degrees — so the end that was at the head of the bed is now at the foot. You do not need to flip the mattress — you’ll continue sleeping on the same surface.
How often should I rotate my mattress?
Rotate your mattress end-to-end every 2 weeks for the first 4 months. Then monthly for ongoing care.
Rotating regularly supports even wear across the mattress, helping you get the most life and comfort out of your bed.
Cleaning Your Mattress
It is important to keep your mattress clean so that it continues to stay fresh and perform as intended.
Vacuum regularly — freshen the fabric or remove dust and debris using a vacuum on low suction.
Keep your mattress dry — prevent water and other fluids from coming into contact with your mattress. A waterproof cover may be useful for children’s beds.
Treat spills and stains as soon as possible with a damp cloth. Avoid scouring the surface with a brush or using excessive moisture, which can affect the internal components of the mattress.
Keep out of direct sunlight — if positioned near a window without a mattress protector, the fabric may fade over time.
Avoid dry cleaning chemicals and detergents — these may damage some of the construction materials.
Ensure your A.H. Beard mattress is exposed to adequate ventilation.
